Wednesday 28th October saw the last ever flight of AVRO Vulcan B2 XH558. After 8 years since its first flight since restoration on 17th October 2007, XH558 has starred at many a air show. The 55 year old aircraft delivered to RAF Waddington in 1960 as then the first B2. On day which started with rain and remained mainly overcast, with the odd break of Blue sky, XH558 performed three passes over the airfield before landing for the final time. On the second pass XH558 touched down, continued along the run way before taking off for the last time, with the distinctive Vulcan Howl to be heard by all. Touching down for the final time, parachute deployed the Delta Lady had completed her flying career.
