The 2011 RAC Rally was held on the 2nd to 5th December with this year the rally starting in the dark at Duncombe Park with stages also in Dalby Forest. Saturday saw stages in the Yorkshire forests before heading north to Croft and Hamsterley over nighting in Carlise. Sunday Route took in Ae, Twiglees, Heathhall, Newcastleton before over night again in Carlise. Monday the rally concluded with two runs through Kershope before the Ceremonial finish in Carlise. 2011 RAC rally was won by Gywndaf Evans navigated by John Millington in the Viking Motorsport Ford Escort RS. A fine performance secured second place for Tim Pearcey & Neil Shanks ahead of third placed David Stokes & Guy Weaver.
